You have to catch it yourself."

Ben Franklin

Wow, it is that time of year again! I hope everyone has had a relaxing summer. It is always good to get away. but I am always so happy to be back in a routine. It is going to be a year of positive change and I am certain that this year will be full of accomplishments, knowledge, and success! I am currently in my 4th year at H-L and I am in my 12th year of teaching!  Time sure does fly when you love what you do.  I was born and raised in Ayersville, Oh, just like Bascom, a small farm town. I wouldn't trade a small-school atmosphere for anything else.  I went to Bowling Green State University (GO FALCONS!!) and received my Master's from Appalachian State University.  I have previously taught Chemistry, Physics, American History, North Carolina History, Computer Applications, Multi-Media, and TV Production.  This year I will be teaching government, psychology/sociology, computer apps, and Keyboarding.  I am also the Boys' Varsity Track Coach.   My job is to teach, challenge, and motivate.   It is going to be a POSITIVE year! Go Chieftains!!
