2019 Chieftain Award
Reggen aka Baker! Reggen has overcome so much as an athlete! She's fought with injuries her entire career. She played hurt, injured and with braces on both knees. Reggen is a hard worker on and off the field, often working a least one job outside of school and sports. She's the type of player that would run through a wall for her coach or team if they ask. Reggen listens and takes advice, and has shown so much improvement in her skills over the years. She has become a leader, asking or expecting more out of her teammates. In past years she took the time to teach and show the younger players the ropes which is always great to witness. She has learned already when to work hard and when to celebrate victories. Her good attitude and good efforts both on and off the field have set her up for a great place to start her contributions to society, no matter what she chooses to do! I pray she gets a chance to show her softball stuff this year, but no matter what I've always enjoyed getting to know and coaching her.
~Words from Coaches Bill Kidd and Tony Malagon for Reggen
Heartbreaking as parents, family, and friends to not be able to see what she would have been able to do on the field this year, finally healthy after all of her injuries. Her Mama and Papa Omlor have always been there to root her on and are her biggest fans. Many Thanks to her siblings Raylee and Lane for always supporting Reggen and to her niece and nephews that are her entire life!
