SENIOR SPOTLIGHT - Tuesday, April 7th
Senior - Jordan Foster
Parents - Wyatt and Amy Foster
I have been a member of our track team since 7th grade and I am so happy to have been a part of it. My sophomore year I made it to regionals in the 1600m race for the first time which was super exciting for me! The following week I got last place at regionals but I was still super happy to have been there! My junior year, I ran my fastest 1600m time ever which qualified me to go to regionals again. I also ran the first leg of our 4 x 800m relay team which was my favorite event to run, this team also advanced to regionals! At regionals, I didn’t get last place again in the 1600m which was an improvement for me and I was happy with it. Our 4 x 800m team was a couple of places from going to state but we still made the podium which was an awesome experience!
Next year I have been accepted to the University of Findlay where I will study Math Education and I plan to become a high school math teacher. I also will be running track and cross country at the University of Findlay! While I am very sad to almost be done with high school I am very excited to see what the next chapter of my life holds.
Thank you’s- No Max, unless you write a book, I can’t do all of that. lol
I would like to thank my family for always doing the most to support me in every way and loving me unconditionally. My family has always and will continue to push me to be my best! I would like to thank my coaches for giving me the motivation to become the runner I am. Not only have they shaped me into the athlete I am but they have also taught me many things that have shaped me into a better person! Thank you to my teammates for encouraging me and pushing me to be a better athlete and person. I also would like to thank my friends for coming to track and cross meets to show support for me and the team. I would like to thank the teachers, administrators, and other faculty members for the kind words and encouragement that they have given me throughout highschool. Lastly, I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to run at an amazing school and giving me more time to continue doing what I love the next 4 years in college!
Thank you to the Foster Family for the Spotlight and Photos!
