CONGRATULATIONS to both Girls and Boys Cross County Teams for advancing to the Regional Meet on Saturday. The Girls finished 4th and the Boys win the District Meet. Jordan Foster also won the District as an Individual. The Girls will run on Saturday at 11 AM and Boys will run at 1:30 PM both at Hedges Boyer Park in Tiffin. Both teams are competing for a spot in the State Meet on November 2nd.

A huge Thank you from Student Council to everyone who helped make 2019 Homecoming Week a Spirited Success. From the parking spot painting to volleyball, senior night, mural dedication, powder puff, bonfire, the court, pep rally, the football game, and the dance. Thank you to all the athletes, band, coaches, teachers and staff for all of your Chieftain Pride.

The most spirited 1st-period classes were - Mrs. Burns Broadcasting class with 80%. Mrs. Youngs Forensic Science and Mrs. Jury's Spanish I tied at 76%. All 3 classes will be getting donuts in the near future. The overall most spirited grade was the Freshmen with 80% but the Seniors came from behind on Friday with their Red Spirit and earned 77% AND won the Volleyball game, so the Spirit Stick will be given to the Seniors for FAll 2019!

Musical - Anyone interested in helping with stage crew, lights, sound, costumes or being a student director for the musical The Sound of Music, should sign-up outside of Mrs. Daniel or Mrs.Lucius' classroom today.

Friday, October 25th is the final football concession night/bleacher cleanups for which the boys' basketball team is responsible to help our athletic boosters. All boys in grades 7-12 who are not playing in the band or on the field are asked to help with the trash pick up toward the end of the game. Upper classmen will be group leaders. HS FB players have covered VB games. Meet Coach Jury by the concession stands for trash bags. All players, parents, coaches, and helpers in attendance did a great job at the first 4 concession events. Thanks so much!

Spirit Bus - Is scheduled for our last football game on Friday, November 1st. The bus will leave about 6:00 and return around 10:00. The student section theme will be Halloween Costumes and you should plan to dress up and ride and cheer on the Chieftains! The cost is $5 per person plus the cost of game admission. See Mrs. Jury and sign up to get a permission form. Let's fill the bus! 

Halloween Costume Dress-Up Day - Pay $1 to wear your costumes all day.

Boys' JH Basketball - Practices begin after school on Tuesday, October 29th for all 7-8th grade boys.

Boys' HS Basketball - Practices being after school on Friday, November 1st, for all boys not still in a fall sport. Schedules through November 2nd are listed on the October schedule. November schedules will be given at the first official practice. Open Gym, open shooting, weights, etc. continue to be offered as scheduled.

Immunization Records: Are you a 7th grader or 12th grader and got your required shots this year?  We need a copy of your shot records in the office, please bring in ASAP. If you are unsure if we have your current records on hand, please call into the office to check on it. This is only for 7th and 12th graders.

Fifth Quarter - Students in grades 7-12 are invited to the all NEW Fifth Quarter after Friday's home football games. Fifth Quarter is located at Hopewell Church of God on County rd 48 immediately following the game, until 11:00 pm. BIG NEWS every time you attend Fifth Quarter this year, you will be entered into a drawing for the chance to win an outing for you and four friends to visit the Haunted Hydro and escape rooms in Fremont, OH. The more times you attend the Fifth Quarter, the better your chances of winning this $100 prize.

Sports passes -are available now in the office. Adults are $50 for $10 punches and Students are $30 for 10 punches.  Save money and buy your sports pass in the office.

Final Forms - Please access Final Forms ASAP and update and sign all documents, as a parent and student. It's very important to always keep this information accurate and current as this is the emergency contact information we use, as well as all mailing labels, get generated with the information you provide when we mail out report cards, notes, and letters throughout the school year.

Early Yearbook Sale is here - Get your yearbook now and save on the 2020 yearbook. the yearbook order form had an error. The cost of the yearbook from now until October 31st is $40, or $45 if you would like personalization. Get your 2020 yearbook for $40 NOW!!!  

Student Parking Permits - All students that drive to school must park in the student parking lot and have a 2019-2020 parking permit displayed on the rearview mirror. Parking permits are handed out in the school office.

Attention grades 9-12 next year if you are interested in taking classes through College Credit Plus, there will be an information meeting here at the high school on November 7, 2019, @ 6:00 pm in the Auditeria. Holly Cipriani from Bowling Green State University will be here presenting the information and representatives from Findlay, Owens Community College, Terra Community College, Heidelberg University, and Tiffin University will be available to answer individual questions after the meeting. Please plan to attend. If you need any further information, see Mrs. Hendrix.

HOBY - 2020 Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership. What: HOBY, The Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership is one of the oldest and most prominent youth leadership organizations in the world. The seminar is for a student who feels they are a strong leader, has the courage to speak up their beliefs, has concern for others, and is interested in improving their skills in critical thinking, goal setting, and would like to realize the importance of enhancing their leadership skills. WHO: Current Sophomores WHEN: Approximately June 6-9, 2020 - you must be able to stay the entire time. The exact date will come out on November 16, 2019, WHERE: Ohio Northern University for more information, visit www.hoby.org. See Mrs. Hendrix in the guidance office or talk to Peyton Burns our representative last year.

Seniors - you are required to have 20 hours of Community Service for Graduation. Those hours are due no later than March 13, 2020. Please turn those into Mrs. Hendrix or Mrs. Hoffman. If you are struggling to get service hours please see Mrs. Hendrix. Also, stop and see Mrs. Hoffman for dates/times of concession stand.
