 Elementary Physical Education

Dear Parent/Guardian,

My name is Brian Ream and I will be teaching your child Elementary Physical Education this school year.  I am looking forward to working with you and your child.  Hopefully, your child will have a fun, meaningful experience in Physical Education this year.

Your child needs to have a separate pair of non-marking tennis shoes for Physical Education.  These shoes will be left at school; they can be a pair of used shoes.  Slip on tennis shoes or ones with Velcro are greatly appreciated for Kindergarten students.

Grading - Students earn a point for the following when in PE class: wearing a separate pair of tennis shoes, safe play, participating appropriately.

Satisfactory (S) = 100-70    Needs Improvement (N) = 69-60    Unsatisfactory (U) = 59-0

If you feel your child’s physical activities need to be limited, please send a signed note.

A doctor’s excuse is required if a child is to miss more than two consecutive classes.

Please understand that I am required to abide by the doctor’s orders and if there is a change, I need to have it in writing from the doctor.

If your child has any physical condition or disability, which might affect their ability to participate in Physical Education, please make it a point to let me know.  Have your child bring in a note, or contact me.

If you ever have any concerns or questions, I can be reached by calling 419-937-2804 Extension 1085, by e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or send a note.

Sincerely,
